Crankcase breather (open-circuit
crankcase ventilation) – Filter
element cleaning or replacement
1. Clean filter (6) outside.
2. Undo clamp (2) and screw (7).
3. Pull hose (1) off cover (3).
4. Loosen clamp (5).
5. Remove cover (3).
6. Clean filter element (4) (→ Page 65) or re‐
place.
7. Fit cover (3).
8. Use torque wrench to tighten clamp (5) to
specified torque 12 Nm to 14 Nm.
9. Push hose (1) onto cover (3).
10. Tighten clamp (2) and screw (7).
11. Replace further filter elements (2) in the
same way.
